Take Action

Just imagine what might happen—in your family, community, city, nation—if all followers of Jesus looked for the good in people around them, actually listened to each person’s story, were sensitive to recognize and respond to the needs of people they encountered, and took advantage of every opportunity to joyfully scatter seeds of God’s grace in a hurting world. That would be amazing! Why not begin now?

As you interact with people this week, guard against looking for differences or shortcomings in people. Instead, look for their positive attributes, and celebrate what is good in them wherever you see it.

Everyone matters to God, who is compassionate and generous. This week focus on being his partner in redemption, keeping your eyes alert for signs of need such as grief, brokenness, financial stress, fear, or pain. Pray about how to come alongside people and address their needs. As God is generous, be generous in prayingabout their needs and finding the right way to meet them.
